[Update]: We emailed all of our users on Friday, September 26th, in regards to the issue with our iOS 8 update, version 2.8.3. The email is re-posted below. In short, our app is in expedited review with Apple and will be released as soon as it’s approved. We’re very sorry for the trouble and the wait. We’ll email again when the app is approved, and it’s safe to update.

Dear Dashlane user,

Earlier this week, we emailed you regarding an issue with the latest version of our iOS app, version 2.8.3. The issue prevents a small group of users from accessing their Dashlane data on their iPhones or iPads. As you may be a part of this group, we want to update you on our progress towards fixing it.

Our entire team has been mobilized to identify and fix this problem. We’ve submitted a new app to the App Store which includes the fix, and it will be released on the App Store following an expedited review from Apple.

In the meantime:

  •  Please do not launch or try to use your Dashlane app on your iPhone or iPad until the new app with the fix for the data issue is available.
  • Please DO NOT DELETE or attempt to re-install Dashlane on your iPhone or iPad, as this would cause a permanent loss of your data.

Once the next update is available and it is safe to upgrade, we will contact you directly and let you know.

Protecting your data and making sure that it is available to you at all times is our absolute priority. We understand the trouble this issue is causing you, and want to assure you that we’re doing everything in our power to get this resolved as quickly as possible.

Sincerely,

Emmanuel Schalit
CEO, Dashlane

Dear Dashlane user,

Following the iOS 8 release and the update of our iOS 8 app, some of our users have reported that their Dashlane app appears to have lost their data.

As long as you have not deleted Dashlane, your data is still on your device. However, the app is currently not displaying it due to a technical issue. We are working on a fix that will make your data available again, and we will release that fix as soon as possible.

In the meantime,

  • Please do not delete the Dashlane app from your device as this will erase the data that is still on your iOS device
  • If you have not yet upgraded to our iOS 8 app, please wait until we have announced a fix for this issue

We will inform you as soon as we have a fix. Please accept our apologies for this inconvenience.

Emmanuel Schalit
CEO, Dashlane
